Probable Cause Leads to Investigation of Ilhan Omar

After probable cause was found, Ilhan Omar is now under investigation by the state Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. The violations and fines against Omar are mounting and so is the public’s frustration with her vague, and at times, conflicting responses.

The Star Tribune’s Editorial Board recently wrote this about Omar:
“…the charges suggest a pattern of carelessness and/or self-dealing with legally restricted funds.”

Self-dealing is serious. Voters looking for someone to represent their best interests and not those of the candidate might need to look past party affiliation. Patterns and evidence are valuable when assessing the trustworthiness of an individual. Omar was a Minnesota State Representative and her actions during that term matter.
With the November election just around the corner and voters clearly fed up with decades of insincere politicians, this new information about Omar should not be ignored.
